DeadAcreZ
DeadAcreZ takes the colony-versus-horde idea and puts it on a farm. Instead of a steampunk colony on a grid, you're turning a patch of a zombie-filled valley into a homestead: fields, log houses, chicken coops and a market inside the walls, palisades, stone walls and gun towers around them.
The rhythm will feel familiar. Days are for growing and building, nights are for finding out whether the walls hold, and the nights keep getting worse. Where it differs is that your people matter one by one: six named survivors to start, each with traits, who you send on expeditions, put in the gun towers and patch up in the hospital. It's free, it runs in your browser, and it saves as you go.
