What WARDOGS actually is.

WARDOGS is a tactical all-out-warfare FPS from BULKHEAD, published by Team17, that entered Steam Early Access on 10 September 2026. Up to 100 players split across three teams fight over Control Zones on destructible 2×2 km maps set in an industrial Eastern European mountain range. There are three maps at launch, each with three variations.

The twist is money. Teams secure cash by taking the Control Zone and surviving long enough to bank it, vehicles cost money, and every death and purchase hits your account balance. A lone player bleeds cash fast; a squad that plays the objective together banks it. That's why WARDOGS is a game you want a crew on comms for.

Why a three-team fight changes how you play.

With three sides on the map, the team that charges in first often gets punished by the third team arriving late. Good WARDOGS squads pick their moment: hold a flank, let two sides trade, then push. Local voice chat also reaches enemy players nearby, so the crew keeps squad talk on Discord and uses proximity chat for, let's say, diplomacy.

What a Skengers WARDOGS night looks like.

Skengers isn't an LFG board. The big WARDOGS servers with thousands of members are great for grabbing a random squad for one match. Skengers is a clan, and one of the biggest going right now: the same faces on comms every night, who already know who's driving, who's building and who's about to do something stupid with a vehicle.

The crew is spread across the UK, Europe, North America and Oceania, and on a given night anywhere from 5 to 40 of us end up in the same match. When the lobby splits 100 players three ways, that's a full team and then some. Check #match-info for the server and jump in.

When a season's live, we play to win. Roles get set, comms get tight and the Control Zone comes first. Plenty of the crew have semi-pro or pro experience behind them, and the veterans and serving military bring proper discipline to the callouts. When the season ends, the pressure's off and it's casual games and messing about until the next one.

Before your first match.

1. Join the Skengers Discord. One invite, no application form.
2. Check you meet the minimum spec: 16 GB RAM, a GTX 1660 / RX 590 class GPU and 50 GB free.
3. Set your role in #wardogs-roles so squad leads know what you bring.
4. Check #match-info for the server the crew is on, and join that one.
5. Push-to-mute on. Callouts only during fights.

Is it free to join?

No. It's a paid Early Access game on Steam, with no in-game purchases of cash or gold bars.

Not yet. Xbox and PlayStation versions are planned for 2028.
