This explains what skengers.co.uk collects, why, and what you can do about it. Skengers is run from the UK, so UK data protection law (UK GDPR) applies.

Who we are.

Skengers is a gaming community. You can contact us about this policy at SkngCommunity@gmail.com.

What this website collects.

Server logs. The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes your IP address, browser details and the pages you request to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
Leaderboard. The community page shows Discord display names, levels and XP only for members who opt in with /levels website show:True. Turn it off any time with /levels website show:False.
Game stats. Community game stats are aggregated and anonymous. No names or Steam IDs are shown on this website.
Bloodmoon Bastion scoreboard. If you pick a nickname in Bloodmoon Bastion, we store that nickname with your best night on each map and your in-game stats (monsters slain, towers placed and so on), and show them on the public scoreboard. Your browser keeps a random key so only you can update your row; we keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy of it. To stop abuse, we count requests per IP address using a scrambled form of it that is deleted within a day; we never store the address itself. Saved games stay in your own browser. To have your row removed, contact us with your nickname.
DeadAcreZ leaderboard. When you play DeadAcreZ, the game sends your chosen name and each run’s results (nights survived, survivors, zombies put down, peak settlement, badges, difficulty and how the run ended) to its leaderboard, and the public boards show your name with your best run. Endless runs are updated every in-game dawn. Your browser keeps a random key so only you can update your entries; we keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy of it. To check that runs are real, we keep each run’s progress and when it was posted, and we forget unfinished runs after 60 days. Requests are counted per IP address in the same scrambled, short-lived way as above. Saved games stay in your own browser. To have your entries removed, contact us with your name.

We don't run accounts, sign-ups or contact forms on this site, and we don't sell personal data.

Advertising.

This site may show ads from Google AdSense to help cover running costs. When it does:

Twitch and Discord embeds.

The community page can show Twitch streams and a Discord widget. The Twitch player only loads when you press play. Once loaded, Twitch and Discord may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.

Cookies and consent.

When ads are on and you visit from the UK, the EEA or Switzerland, a consent message from Google (a Google-certified consent management platform) asks before any advertising cookies are set. You can accept, reject or manage choices, and change your mind later using the “Privacy and cookie settings” link that appears on the page.

Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies to keep the site secure. These don't need consent.

Your rights.

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it's used. Email SkngCommunity@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Age.

Skengers is an 18+ community and this site is not aimed at children.

Changes.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
